Gilbert Yvel Officially Retires From Mixed Martial Arts After 16 Years

Former UFC and PRIDE competitor, Gilbert Yvel announced this week that he has hung up his gloves for good after coming out with a 38-16-1 record over a sixteen year career, stating his future will now consist of teaching the youth of today how to better themselves inside the cage.

Yvel,speaking during a recent interview with GnP-TV said:

“I’m pretty much done. I’ve been fighting for the last 16 years… I’m here to teach other people. I don’t want to punch people anymore. I’ve been fighting 16 years — that’s a long time. I’ve had a good run. This is it.”
