A lot of changes are scene for UFC Ultimate Fight Night 22 on September 15th in Austin, Texas, with both TUF 6 winner, Mac Danzig and Matt Wiman pulling out of their remtach due to injuries. Mac Danzig recently withdrew himself, while Matt Wiman has been forced to withdraw due to a broken arm.
TUF 8 winner, Efrain Escudero was bumped up first to face Wiman, while the Mexican natives original opponent, John Gunderson will square off with returning octagon veteran, Yves Edwards, who returns to the UFC after stints with EliteXC, Strikeforce and Bellator. The talented all-rounder has won four of his last five fights.
UFC matchmaker, Joe Silva has now swung into action again, naming submission specialist, Charles Oliveira as the replacement for Wiman.
Oliveira made his octagon debut less than three weeks ago, winning a first round submission of the night win on the UFC on Versus 2. Escudero most recently defeated Dan Lauzon via unanimous decision.
