Eric Prindle’s Flu-Like Symptoms Forces Delay on Thiago Santos Rematch, Maiquel Falcao vs. Norman Paraisy Main Event

Bellator officials have postponed the heavyweight rematch between Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos, which was to take place tomorrow, March 23rd at Bellator 62 in Laredo, TX. Friday night’s fight card will instead be headlined by a middleweight quarterfinal bout between UFC vet, Maiquel Falcao and TUF 11 contestant, Norman Paraisy.

The culmination of the Bellator season five heavyweight tournament is postponed due to Eric Prindle’s flu-like symptoms. The bout is expected to be re-arranged for later on in season six as they will attempt to crown a winner and number one contender to meet Cole Konrad for his title.

The two men squared off at Bellator 59 in last season’s heavyweight final, a fight declared a no contest as Santos delivered what was ruled an accidental illegal blow to the groin of Eric Prindle, which eventually halted the fight.
