DREAM 17 – Shinya Aoki, Tatsuya Kawajiri and Gerald Harris All Successful

DREAM 17 went down earlier today in Saitama, Japan, with the promotions lightweight champion Shinya Aoki, former 155 pound contender, Tatsuya Kawajiri and former UFC veteran Gerald Harris all coming out on top.

Aoki defeated former WEC champion, Rob McCullough in the main event, winning the fight mid-way through the first round with a neck crank. Tatsuya Kawajiri Made his featherweight debut after years in the lightweight division, defeating former 155 pound champion, Joachim Hansen in the co-main event in a back-and-forth bout that seen Kawajiri picked up a third round arm-triangle submission.

Former UFC veteran, Gerald Harris made a successful DREAM debut with a split decision win over Kazuhiro Nakamua and another former UFC fighter, Antonio Banuelos picked up the same result against Hideo Tokoro in his bantamweight grand-prix quarter final bout.
