Dennis Siver Tests Positive For Banned Substances After UFC 168

UFC featherweight powerhouse, Dennis Siver tested positive for banned substance human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), which is a naturally occurring hormone in both genders, but it has been closely linked to steroid use throughout the world.

Nevada State Athletic Commission chairman Francisco Aguilar confirmed the news to sources on Saturday, saying that an “appropriate complaint” against Siver was being prepared.

While Siver’s exact hCG level wasn’t revealed, the fighter is expected to be served with a temporary suspension by the NSAC. Siver will have the opportunity to appeal, but regardless is expected to be on an upcoming NSAC agenda to determine whether he will be issued a full suspension, along with length, a potential fine and a potential overturning of his win over Gamburyan to a no-contest.
