It has been revealed that former UFC welterweight title contender, Dan Hardy will remain a part of the Las Vegas based promotions roster despite losing four straight fights inside the ocatgon after co-owner, Lorenzo Fertitta revealed he won’t cut fighters who go to war.
Fertitta, posting via his Twitter account, said:
“Will not cut @danhardymma I like guys that WAR!!!”
Hardy faced Chris Lytle last night at UFC on Versus 5. Dan had stated that he has changed his training going into this fight, moving to Las Vegas to train at the Country Club with Roy Nelson to work on his grappling, particulary his wrestling defense/offense. He lost the fight via submission in the third round. Despite rumors that he was going to be cut from the UFC, Lorenzo Fertitta dismissed that rumor pretty quick.
