Cub Swanson out of octagon UFC debut at UFC on Versus 3 due to an injury

Former WEC featherweight vet, Cub Swanson will have to wait a little bit longer before stepping foot into the octagon after pciking up an undisclosed injury in training that forced him to pull out of his UFC on Versus 3 bout with Erik Koch.

A source close to the situation revealed the news that the injury had been sustained in training and that the promotion were actively looking for a late replacement.

When Swanson does return he will be looking to make a fresh start inside the octagon after an up-and-down career in the WEC. He did manage to pick up three “Fight of the Night” awards over Hiroyuki Takaya, John Franchi and Mackens Semerzier while apart of that roster.
