According to his manager, Gary Ibarra, TUF 12 winner, Court McGee is on his way to 100% after suffering a knee injury that forced him out of his UFC 131 bout with Jesse Bongfeldt next month in Vancouver, Canada.
Ibarra, speaking via MMAWeekly.com, said:
“Court’s one of those guys that never really stops. He broke his hand in the Ryan Jensen fight so his training consisted of everything except hitting with his right hand. As that healed, almost exactly when he was able to start training again he blew out his knee training with Jake (Shields). I think it was about a week after Court’s surgery and it was a direct quote, he felt better than he had before he had even gotten injured. I think we’re going to see Court fairly soon, and I think we’re going to see a physically upgraded Court McGee.”
“We’re looking at the end of July maybe early August.”
