Conor McGregor Says He’s Fighting Diego Sanchez, Dana Says No!

In a bizarre turn of events, Conor McGregor has announced that he will be stepping into face Diego Sanchez at UFC 180 in Mexico. The two had a war of words on twitter a couple of months back, and “The Notorious One” made the announcement through social media:

Conor Tweeted:

“I am fighting @DiegoSanchezUFC in Mexico, November 15th. He spoke a big game. Now he will pay with his career. VIVA LA EIRE!!!”

Soon followed by his coach, John Kavanagh, who Tweeted:

“I guess I’m going to Mexico”

Not too long after the surprising fight announcement it looks like UFC President, Dana White put a end to this rumour before it started.

Brett Okamoto from ESPN, Tweets:

“Dana White on Conor in Mexico: That kid is nuts. No he’s not. He wants to but he’s not.”
