Chael Sonnen gets 24 months probation and a $10,000 fine from money laundering case

UFC middleweight, Chael Sonnen can finally put this all behind him after a U.S. District Court issued him with 24 months probation and a $10,000 fine stemming from a federal money laundering case.

U.S. attorney’s office spokesperson Gerri Badden confirmed the news just minutes ago, adding Sonnen would also have to forfeit real estate license as the result of his January 3rd guilty plea.

Just days after news of this case broke Sonnen had his contract effectively frozen by the UFC, putting his fighting career on hold until his personal life was put in order. There have already been rumours of a possible fight with UK stand-out, Michael Bisping.
