Carlos Condit Calls for Martin Kampmann Rematch if GSP Isn’t Ready by November

UFC interim welterweight champion, Carlos Condit has revealed he has had a change of heart when it comes to sitting on the sidelines to await a shot at the title, adding that he will wait for current champion, Georges St-Pierre to recover from a knee injury until November and that’s it. “The Natural Born Killer” will then seek a rematch against the last and only man to defeat him in the last six years, Martin Kampmann, a fight that originally came down to a very close split decision that could have gone either way.

Condit, speaking via HDNet’s Inside MMA, said:

“If it turns out Georges can’t fight in November, most likely, I will fight somebody else. I really wanna fight Georges. I really wanna unify the belts, but there’s also some other guys that I would like to fight as well. You know, Martin Kampmann’s the only guy that I’ve lost to in the UFC, the only guy I’ve lost to in about the last six years, so I would definitely like to avenge that loss.”
