Cain Velasquez vs. Fabricio Werdum at UFC 180 in Mexico

The UFC is holding their first ever pay-per-view card in Mexico with UFC 180 going down in Mexico City on November 15th with heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez vs. Fabricio Werdum as the headline main event.

Dana White confirmed the news during a press conference in Mexico on Tuesday.

Velasquez is recovering from a shoulder surgery but says he will be ready to fight. Hers what he had to say:

“I’m going to be ready to do whatever it takes to give you a great fight, I had an injury and I know what I have to do to be ready.”

The show will take place in November at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City. The finals for The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America will also take place on the UFC 180 fight card. Tickets for the event will go on sale the week of August 22.
