Byron Byrd Take His A.T.T. Swagger Overseas For M-1 Challenge XXIII

Waiting patiently to return to action since winning the 2010 Americas M-1 Selection light heavyweight tournament, American Top Team rising-star, Byron Byrd, packs his bags for a collision at M-1 Challenge XXIII Saturday March 5th. Facing talented striker Alihan Magomedov, Byrd is eager to reveal his arsenal of tactics passed down from his camp’s upper-echelon of coaches. Byrd’s growing North American fan base can catch the battle LIVE from the Crocus City Arena in Moscow, Russia on starting at 11:00am EST / 8:00am.

“Byrd has been extremely vocal about wanting to get back in the ring as soon as possible,” says M-1 Global’s Director of Operations, Evgeni Kogan. “Byrd has all the tools to become a great champion and the contest with Magomedov is an excellent opportunity to cement his position as the #1 contender for the light heavyweight belt.”

With the light heavyweight championship possibly being vacated as current champ Vyacheslav Vasilevsky considers relinquishing the belt to pursue action in the 185 pound division, Byrd’s bout against Magomedov carries important contention ramifications; a victory puts him in a title fight against the winner of Narkun versus Tinagadjiev taking place the same night.
