TUF 10 runner-up, Brendan Schaub seems to want an interesting fight following a string of impressive wins inside the octagon, the most interesting one coming in the form of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in his own back yard of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Schaub, speaking via MMAWeekly.com, said:
“Top six, top seven in the heavyweight division, I’d say. I don’t know who’s next. If you look at the division right now everyone’s kind of tied up, so it’s going to be interested to see the way it pans out. There’s a lot of interesting matches. You look at the Frank Mir/Roy [Nelson], the winner of that could potentially be an opponent. Big Nog in Brazil. There’s a ton of them out there, so we’ll see what Joe Silva comes up with.”
“[A fight with Big Nog], That would be intense. When that was brought up or mentioned to me a lot of my teammates and coaches were like ‘man, I don’t know if I’d do that, just to go out to Brazil and fight Nog in his hometown, I think it’s a huge risk,’ but I’ll be that guy if they want me to be that guy. I just want to fight the biggest names out there.”
