Brad Pickett injured, Miguel Torres vs. Demetrious Johnson at UFC 130

Bantamweight Brit, Brad Pickett has been forced to pull out of UFC 130 due to injury, the fastest man in the division, Demetrious Johnson will step in to face former WEC champion, Miguel Torres on May 28th in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dana White, speaking via , said:

“The fastest man in the division has answered the call, and Demetrious Johnson will move into Pickett’s spot to face the former divisional kingpin. Both men have verbally agreed to the fight.”

Torres is coming off a lackluster unaimous decision win over Antonio Banuelos at UFC 126 earlier this month, putting in the kind of performance that ensure he receives very little damage, but takes away the win even with the boos from the crowd. Johnson made his octagon debut at UFC 126 upsetting the top rated Japanese star, Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto via unanimous decision. Prior to that he’d picked up wins over Nick Pace and Damacio Page in the WEC.
