BJ Penn injured as well, BJ Penn vs. Jon Fitch II rescheduled for a later date

UFC 132’s main event is completely off after it was revealed that former lightweight champion, BJ Penn suffered an undisclosed injury and will no longer appear on the card after picking up an injury during training earlier this week.

Ironically Penn was waiting to hear who he would face at UFC 132 after Jon Fitch pulled out of their scheduled rematch just last week. Anthony “Rumble” Johnson and Carlos Condit had both threw their names in the hat.

The welterweight rematch between the former champ and arguably the second best fighter in the division is set to be rescheduled for a later date after both men have picked up injuries ahead of UFC 132. Last week Fitch was injured during training, something that was repeated by Penn earlier this week while waiting for word on a possible replacement.
