Strikeforce middleweight, Benji Radach is targeting a November return following a few recent injuries including a broken hand and a busted up knee sustained during his 2009 defeat to the hands of Scott Smith.
Ken Pavia, Radach’s manager, speaking via MMAWeekly.com, said:
“Training, back in the gym, at 100 percent. But after a year off, you can’t just do a couple of weeks and get back in the cage, and he’s trying to do it smart.”
“I don’t think there’s anybody that’s ever met Benji that doesn’t like that guy. He just exudes charisma, and he’s a very entertaining fighter, got a great style. His training partners always speak very highly of him because he gives 110 percent in the gym, just to the point of not hurting you. He really pushes people.”
“He’ll be back this year. We’re looking at probably November for a realistic return. He’s under contract with Strikeforce, and we’re just trying to find him an opponent and a date.”
