Bellator Fighting Championships 23 Official Results

Last night at Bellator 23, featherweight, Joe Warren and middleweight, Alexander Shlemenko captured season two Bellator tournament titles.

Warren had a tough time in the first round against Patricio Freire, having each and every takedown stuffed before getting picked apart on the feet. Warren eventually scoring takedowns and working over the Brazilian from the top. This continued Warren taking Freire down and controlling from the top. The judges scored the bout 29-28, 28-29, 29-28 in favour of Warren via split decision.

Shlemenko needed just about three minutes to end his fight with Bryan Baker. Baker was hurt by a cross followed by a knee to the body the Shlemenko went in for the kill, after a vicious right hand the referee stopped the fight, and handed Shlemenko the win.
