Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira injured, Mirko Cro Cop vs. Frank Mir at UFC 119

Former UFC and PRIDE champion, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira has been forced to pull out of his fight with Frank Mir six weeks prior due to an undisclosed injury. It appears Croatian legend, Mirko Cro Cop will be the man to step up and take on former UFC heavyweight champion, Frank Mir at UFC 119 on September 25th, 2010.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will require surgery and is said to be “incredibly frustrated” by the situation which is likely to keep him out until the New Year.

Cro Cop was last seen in action at UFC 115 in June, defeating fellow kickboxer, Pat Barry via third round submission. Prior to that he stopped Anthony Perosh at the conclusion of the second round at UFC 110 in February.

As for Mir, the Las Vegas native is looking to get back to winning ways after losing to Shane Carwin in March at UFC 111. Prior to that he’d picked up a first round win over Cheick Kongo in Memphis.
