Former EliteXC champ, Antonio “Big Foot” Silva will meet up and coming heavyweight, Travis Browne, after he was forced to pull out of UFC on FOX 4 when his opponent picked up an injury, at UFC on FX 5 in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 5th, 2012. USA Today revealed the news after speaking to sources close to the UFC.
Silva began his octagon career with a disappointing first round TKO defeat at the hands of Cain Velasquez. Prior to that he was knocked out by eventual winner of the Strikeforce heavyweight world grand-prix, Daniel Cormier.
Browne, who is 4-0-1 inside the octagon, picked up a very impressive first round arm-triangle submission over Chad Griggs at UFC 145 just last month, earning himself the “Submission of the Night” bonus in the process.
