Anderson Silva Will Drop to 170 Pounds to Make GSP Super Fight Happen

UFC president, Dana White has revealed that middleweight champion, Anderson Silva will even go as far as to drop to 170 pounds to make the potential super fight with welterweight champion, Georges St-Pierre happen, meaning that the French-Canadians gold could be on the line.

White, speaking at a recent press conference, said:

“Anderson would go to [170 pounds], too. Yeah, he said he’d do it. He says he can make [170] easy. It’s insane.”

Silva was expected to face Georges St-Pierre in a super fight early this year, but now with “Rush” tied up with Nick Diaz in Montreal it looks like “The Spider” will defend his middleweight strap instead.
