Anderson Silva Threatens To Leave UFC For Another Promotion If Dana White Insists On His Retirement

Former UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva threatened to quit the UFC ranks for another promotion today. That is if Dana White insists on him retiring from the sport should he lose back-to-back fights to Chris Weidman later this month, explaining he loves to fight and he’ll continue to do what he loves.

Silva, speaking via sources had this to say said:

“If I lose again, all the media will criticize me, say that I’m not the same anymore, and maybe Dana will say it’s time to retire. He forced Chuck Liddell to retire. He didn’t want to, and is a guy that made history in the UFC, but you have to be prepared. I’d say ‘thank you for everything, but I’ll continue doing what I love in other ways.’ I’d go to other promotions, fight in other sports, but I’d continue fighting because that’s what I love to do.”
