Alistair Overeem May Be Out of UFC 141 Fight With Brock Lesnar on Dec. 29th

Before the UFC 140 post-fight press conference a rumor started that Alistair Overeem was out of his UFC 141 main event fight with Brock Lesnar and that Frank Mir, on the defeat of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, would replace Overeem for a rubber match with Lesnar.

Dana White quickly shot down the rumors, asking where did they come from. White denied that the fight was in any jeopardy. White wouldn’t talk about this in public if things weren’t set.

Josh Gross of ESPN, posting via his Twitter account, said:

“White denies Overeem is off the Lesnar card. But Alistair is on Mon.’s NSAC agenda. I’ve heard possibly in connection w/ prefight drug test.”
