GLORY 9 Hits New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom on June 22nd

GLORY, the world’s premier kickboxing league that is home to the greatest martial arts stand-up fighters on the planet, today announced that it will bring its championship fight series to The United States for the first time ever with a one-night, eight-man, light heavyweight (209 pounds/95 kilograms) tournament at Hammerstein Ballroom at Manhattan Center in New York City on Saturday, June 22nd, 2013.

In one of several Superfights also scheduled for the event, heavyweight superstar and former secret service agent Daniel “The Savage Samurai” Ghita (46-9, 35 KOs) of Romania will collide with Muay Thai champion Brice Guidon (28-8, 13 KOs) of France.

Benoit Enjoying Verbal Strikes with Birchak Ahead of MFC 37: True Grit

The two new stars in the MFC’s newest division are physically the smallest men on the roster, but they have created one of the biggest buzzes of any fight in company history.

And for Ryan “Baby Face” Benoit he’s enjoyed every minute of the ongoing war of words he’s engaged in against upcoming opponent Anthony Birchak. All of their heated banter is leading to a hotly anticipated battle in the MFC’s debuting bantamweight division at MFC 37: True Grit.

“The Twitter battles and words back in forth have been fun to me. I’ve never had so much public hype on a fight so it’s something kind of new to me but it’s all fun and games,” said Benoit.

The Ultimate Fighter: Canada vs. Australia Coming Soon for Reality Show

FUEL TV’s “UFC Tonight” was first to reveal that another country vs. country season of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show is in the works, this time we will see young up and comers from Canada face off against Australia.

According to a source close to the situation TUF: Canada vs. Australia will take place in the very near future, even though the UFC has yet to confirm, they are expected to do so sooner than later.

TUF has had three international seasons of the reality show, TUF: Brazil 1, TUF: Brazil 2, and TUF: UK vs. Australia. It has yet to be confirmed which weight classes and coaches will be chosen for either team.

Miesha Tate vs. Liz Carmouche at UFC on FOX 8 Pending Tate's Medical Clearance

Former Strikeforce champion, Miesha Tate could face former UFC title challenger, Liz Carmouche at UFC on FOX 8 in Seattle, Washington on July 27th, pending medical clearance. Tate, who is under a medical suspension, must be cleared to compete by a doctor first.

Tate was unsuccessful in her career debut inside the octagon, losing to Cat Zingano by TKO in the third round and with it the chance of a title shot and the opposite coaching role on The Ultimate Fighter 18 against Ronda Rousey.

Carmouche also made an unsuccessful start in her octagon debut at UFC 157 losing to UFC bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey by first round arm-bar. Her popularity comes now from being a part of the first ever female fight in UFC history.
