Dana White: “The Ultimate Fighter” Canada as early as 2011

UFC President, Dana White has revealed the promotion’s plans to put together a Canadian version of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show, something that we could see as early as next year.

White, speaking at the pre-fight press conference, said:

“We’re working on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ international right now. If things go the way we’re working right now, the second one is probably going to be Canada – next year. We haven’t figured that piece out yet. There’s only so much I can do. One guy can only do so much, so we’re trying to figure out how to do that.”

“We’re going to do a live event in Mexico City. That’s going to happen. We wanted to do ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ in Mexico. That’s what we really wanted to do bad. It’s just taking more time.”

“Our model is you go in with television – the right television – and then you bring the live event. After this fight, Lorenzo is going to get on a plane, and he’s going to be gone for 14 days. He’s going to China, India and South Korea. Those are the three countries we’re focused on next. We’re going everywhere. We’re taking this thing all over the world. We’re working on some cool, big things right now.”
