Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Kharitonov Official Salaries; Barnett Tops List at $150,000
Semifinalists Josh Barnett, Sergei Kharitonov, Daniel Cormier and Antonio “Big Foot” Silva were the top earners at this past weekend’s “Strikeforce Grand Prix: Barnett vs. Kharitonov” event. The total disclosed payroll for the event was $942,000.
The official figures were confirmed by the Ohio Athletic Commission. The event took place this past Saturday, September 10th, at Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena. The night’s main card aired on Showtime, and the preliminary card aired on HDNet.
Barnett and Cormier advanced to the finale of the Strikeforce world heavyweight grand prix with respective semifinal wins over Kharitonov and Silva. Additionally, Luke Rockhold upset Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza to take the Strikeforce middleweight title.
