UFC 206 Weigh Ins, Pettis Over Weight

The early weigh-ins, which preceded the day’s ceremonial affair, took place at the UFC host hotel in Toronto. After the early weigh-ins, the UFC 206 ceremonial weigh-ins take place at 4 p.m. ET at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, which is the same venue that hosts Saturday’s pay-per-view event.

Among those weighing in were headliners Max Holloway (16-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) and Anthony Pettis (19-5 MMA, 6-4 UFC), who were slated to fight for the interim featherweight title. Holloway weighed 145 pounds, but Pettis was 148 – three pounds over the 145-pound limit for featherweight title fights.

UFC officials ultimately confirmed that the fight will go on, but only Holloway is eligible to win the belt. Additionally, Pettis has been fined 20 percent of his fight purse, which goes to Holloway.

Prelim fighters Valerie Letourneau and Rustam Khabilov also missed weight.
