Nick Diaz Faces The NSAC Again

Former Strikeforce welterweight champion, Nick Diaz went before the Nevada State Athletic Commission again today in another attempt to end the five year suspension he was placed on for testing positive for marijuana reduced, something that came to fruition much to the delight of his fans.

Sources say Diaz will be suspended 18 months (retroactively) and fined $100,000 for testing positive for marijuana after UFC 183 on January 31st, 2015. It was Diaz’s third marijuana violation in the state. The popular UFC star should be able to fight again by August 1st. The commissioners quickly approved the settlement unanimously Tuesday without mentioning the terms.
