UFC Making Breaking Into South Korea A Priority In 2015

2014 has been a big year for the UFC, the promotion has seen its ups and downs this year with fights being cancelled because of injuries, falling PPV numbers and disappointing TV viewership and now to end the year they are being sued by former employees.

But these setbacks will not stop Dana White and his team from looking to expand the promotion even more. The UFC’s Lorenzo Fertita spoke recently about topics like their future expansion plans for international events. It came as no surprise that they again expressed their interest in making South Korea a priority for them to break into next year.

Heres what was said on the matter:

“Targeting priority markets in Russia, where UFC cut its first TV broadcast deal there with a free, over-the-air government-owned broadcaster to deliver UFC programming to 55 million households; South Korea, where there is a strong roster of fighters; Scotland, and a Latin American country such as Panama or Costa Rica.”
