Ross Pearson Injured, Michael Johnson vs. Melvin Guillard Now Co-Main Event For UFC Fight Night 37

UFC lightweight contender, Ross Pearson was forced to back out of his UFC Fight Night 37 co-main event face off against Melvin Guillard, set to be on March 8th in London, England, only to be replaced by fast rising star, Michael Johnson.

The UFC announced the change a few days ago. Pearson obtained a knee injury during training and is unable to compete.At this time it is thought verbal agreements are in place for both fighters.

Johnson, a finalist on “The Ultimate Fighter 12? had a small hit to his career when he was faced with back-to-back losses to Reza Madadi and Myles Jury. However, he’s looked scintillating in the wins over Gleison Tibau and Joe Lauzon and recently volunteered for contests against Nate Diaz and Khabib Nurmagomedov, as well.
