Road FC 21 To Have 2 Title Matches

ROAD FC’s first event of 2015 is set to take place on February 1st with 2 championship bouts headlining the card. Featherweight Champ Choi Mu-Gyeom will take on Seo Doo-Won and Flyweight Champ Nam Jin-Jo will face off again against Song Min-Jong.

The event is taking place Seoul’s newly renovated Jangchung Gymnasium that can hold up to 7,000 people. The 50-year old iconic domed arena has been closed for two years with a grand reopening taking place sometime in January.

Choi Mu-Gyeom was a relativly unknown when he first landed a spot in the Featherweight Tournament last year. He defeated 19-year old Tatsujin Dojo prospect Hubert Geven, and his next opponent, Kil Young-Bok, missed weight. No one had him as the winner when he faced stand out Kwon Bae-Yong in the finals.

The second title on the line will be a rematch of Champ Jo Nam-Jin and Song Min-Jong anew. Jo’s star has rised alot in the past years since he defeated BJ Kojima in a huge upset and outworked Mikihito Yamagami. The decisions he’s lost as just a young 23-year old have included the likes of Taiyo Nakahara and Kevin Belingon. Their are detractors of Jo’s Team MAD grinding style of winning fights, but he gets the job done and he’s entertaining.
