Jason High Unable To Fight At UFC Fight Night 35 After Surgery For A Ruptured Appendix

The UFC now has the task of finding Adlan Amagov a new opponent. Jason High, who was set to face Amagov on Jan. 15 in a welterweight match up at UFC Fight Night 35; was rushed to the hospital due to a ruptured appendix early New Years day.

In a series of tweets from his personal twitter account he filled fans in on exactly what was going on, with a bit of humour in between the serious stuff. Here is an account of what he said:

“I bet most of u had no idea there was a purgatory between diarrhea & constipation. Did ya? See, 1st day of 2014 u already learned somethin.

You have GOT to be fucking kidding me…

Fuck appendicitis & anybody that love him. @MikeKogan Sorry @UFC & Beniel. Obviously wont be able 2 fight. *sad face*

Ruptured appendix… On New Year’s Day. See y’all bitches after surgery. F word. So no surgery just yet. They said its prob been burst a few days but I’m a knucklehead. They’re gonna insert a tube to drain puss &…..wait for inflammation to subside before they do surgery. Having that procedure tomorrow AM. Thanks for all the kind words & thoughts. First time I’ve ever had to pull out of a fight for any reason. Won’t be making a habit of it.”
