Jason High Cut From UFC After Shoving Ref

Jason High has lost his contract with the UFC after shoving referee Kevin Mulhall during one of this matches. First the UFC said they would wait for the New Mexico athletic commission to give him his punishment. But days later UFC president Dana White has decided to dish out a punishment of his own, ending Highs contract with the UFC.

White confirmed to sources during his regular Tuesday interview that he would cut High after learning of the incident. White was not in Albuquerque on fight night, visiting Maine on a family vacation.

The incident happened just seconds after referee Mulhall stopped Rafael dos Anjos from hitting High. As dos Anjos rose to celebrate, Mulhall stepped in to check on High, who was disgruntled by the stoppage and pushed Mulhall away in frustration.

High later publicly apologized for his actions, stating he was “incredibly sorry and embarrassed” over what happened and that it would never happen again. This was the first time he was involved in any type of controversy.

Heres what White had to say about cutting High from the UFC roster:

“You don’t ever, ever f****** touch a referee, ever. You’re done here, He’s been apologizing on Twitter, but he’s done.”
