GSP Tears ACL Again, Another Surgery To Come

Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre isn’t officially retired from fighting, but his road to returning just got a little bit longer after revealing on Thursday that he’s suffered a serious knee injury that will require surgery in the coming days.

St-Pierre explained via his Facebook page that he tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee while training, and will have to go back under the doctor’s knife very soon.

“Just got confirmation that I tore my left knee ACL during training this week,” St-Pierre wrote. “Surgery in a few days and rehab starts right away. We all face challenges in our lives and I know only one way to take this one: Pain, hard work, no shortcuts and I will soon be back at 100%.”
