Bellator Champion, Douglas Lima Out Until The End Of 2014

Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima is out for the count for the rest of 2014. Lima stated that he injured his ribs, and is unable to train for 6-weeks, not giving him enough time to train for a fight by the end of 2014.

Heres what he had to say regarding the situation:

“I’m about six weeks off training right. (I hurt) my rib cartilage. It is what it is. (It happened) training – grappling, sparring, or something. I need a few months off. Andrey Koreshkov is next in line, but I’m not sure (when the fight will happen) because I heard he just had surgery on his shoulder … Maybe January or February of next year. He’s injured, I’m injured, so we’ll see.”
