Donald Cerrone vs. Edson Barboza To Fight At UFC on FOX: Werdum vs. Browne

Donald Cerrone said he wants to fight six times in 2014. Just a week after his first fight of the year, he has his next scheduled in what should be an explosive matchup. The “Cowboy” has agreed to take on dynamic Muay Thai stylist Edson Barboza at the April UFC on FOX event in Orlando, the UFC confirmed to FOX Sports on Monday.

The bout features two of the division’s most exciting fighters. Cerrone has won eight nightly awards in his 12 UFC bouts while Barboza has captured five in eight trips to the octagon.

The Orlando show takes place at the Amway Center on April 19 and features a main event starring heavyweights Fabricio Werdum and Travis Browne. The winner is likely to challenge Cain Velasquez for the heavyweight championship upon his return from injury.
