Dana White Says Aldo/Mendes Still A Possibility

Frankie Edgar gave a pounding to BJ Penn tonight and left the octagon in good shape. Social media started speculating the possibility of Frankie Edgar stepping in to save the UFC 176 card by facing Chad Mendes in the new main-event, but Dana White put those rumors to bed quickly.

Dana White confirmed during the “TUF 19 Finale” Post Fight Press Conference that Jose Aldo’s injury will only keep him sidelined for 45 days. It is likely that Aldo will still give Mendes a shot at his UFC Featherweight Championship.
