Velasquez vs. “Big Foot” and JDS vs. Overeem at UFC 160 on May 25th

UFC President, Dana White has revealed two blockbuster heavyweight fights for UFC 160 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 25th, as current champion, Cain Velasquez faces Antonio “Big Foot” Silva for the second time while Junior dos Santos takes on bitter rival, Alistair Overeem. The news was revealed by Sean Sheehan via his Twitter accouint today after he was in attendance as Dana visited Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

Velasquez just recaptured the title in a rematch of UFC on FOX 1 with Junior dos Santos at UFC 155. Prior to that he destroyed “Big Foot” in the very first round. Silva is riding a two-fight winning streak, defeating Travis Browne via first round TKO and Alistair Overeem via third round TKO.

Dos Santos is coming off a five-round unanimous decision defeat at the hands of current champion, Cain Velasquez. Prior to that he stopped Frank Mir and Roy Nelson. Overeem was stopped early in the third round by Antonio “Big Foot” Silva. Prior to that he defeated Brock Lesnar via first round TKO before taking a year off due to failing a drugs test.
