UFC 164 – Soa Palelei vs. Nikita Krylov Set For August 31st in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

A heavyweight battle between returning Australian native, Soa Palelei and undefeated Ukranian newcomer, Nikita Krylov was revealed today to take place at the UFC 164 event set for August 31st in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The news was reported by MMAWeekly.com who spoke directly to source involved in the situation. Palelei was due to face Stipe Miocic at UFC 161 before the Las Vegas based promotion decided to shake things up and replace him with Roy Nelson.

Palelei’s professional record stands at 28-3 and is on a eight-fight winning streak. Palelei’s last defeat came to Daniel Cormier in November 2010. Krylov (14-0) will be making his first professional start outside of the Ukraine or Russia. Krylov has never gone to a decision in any of his 14 fights, having knocked out five of his opponents and submitted the rest.
