UFC 161 Adds Barao vs. Wineland, Shogun vs. Nog II, Hendo vs. Evans and More!

The UFC on Tuesday announced its first trip into Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. UFC 161, slated for June 15th from the MTS Centre live on PPV. A title fight between interim bantamweight champion, Renan Barao and former WEC bantamweight champ, Eddie Wineland will headline UFC 161.

Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will mark the second time these fighters meet since the quarterfinals of Pride’s 2005 middleweight grand prix. The two engaged in one of the most memorable fights in MMA history, with Rua coming out the winner from a unanimous decision.

A matchup pitting former PRIDE champ vs. former UFC champ has been added, as Dan Henderson has been cleared to fight Rashad Evans, while heavyweight, Stipe Miocic welcomes Australian, Soa Palelei back to the Octagon. Pat Barry vs. Shawn Jordan and Tyron Woodley vs. Jake Shields were also made official by the promotion Wednesday.
