UFC 159: Jones vs. Sonnen Official Results

UFC 159: Jones vs. Sonnen goes down tonight, April 27th, 2013 from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and Facebook. The event features light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones putting his strap on the line against “the most interesting man in the world”, Chael Sonnen. In the co-main event, Michael Bisping and Alan Belcher, both of whom are coming off disappointing losses, will look to enter themselves back into the 185-pound title run.

Roy “Big Country” Nelson vs. Cheick Kongo could be the best fight tonight as both men will be ready to showcase their power in a fight that doesn’t look like it will go the distance. Also on the main card, grappling aces, Vinny Magalhaes and Phil Davis face off and the always tough, Jim Miller looks to welcome Strikeforce import, Pat Healy back to UFC. Welterweights, Nick Catone and James Head were scheduled to face off, however, at the weigh-ins Catone missed weight and the bout was subsequently pulled from the card earlier today after Catone went to the hospital for dehydration.

The official results begin at approximately 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT) for the preliminary card and 10 p.m. ET for the main card.
