The UFC Releases More Fighters Including TUF Finalist Mike Ricci

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has taken down a number of fighters’ profiles from their website over past weeks including TUF finalist Mike Ricci. The three others all last fought at the UFC Fight Night 27 event card were removed today. It was released today that fighters Benny Alloway, Papy Abedi and James Head have all been released from the UFC.

Ricci, following his UFC 165 split-decision loss at the hands of Myles Jury, TUF 16 finalist and Tri-Star Gym team member, was released from his contract yesterday.

Benny Alloway, a welterweight fighter from Australia, has lost his last two fights. Despite a KO win in his UFC debut, Alloway lost convincingly to Ryan LaFlare at UFC on Fuel TV 9 and submitted to Zak Cummings at UFC Fight Night 27.

When Papy Abedi made his UFC debut at UFC 138 against Thiago Alves, the world watched what the thought would be one of the more highly anticipated prospects defeating a former welterweight title contender. Instead, Abedi submitted to Alves in the first round, the first loss of Abedi’s 1-3 run in the UFC.
