Renan Barao Inured in Training, UFC 161 Bout vs. Eddie Wineland Cancelled

Another UFC fighter has sustained an injury, it was revealed interim bantamweight champion, Renan Barao has been forced out of his UFC 161 clash with Eddie Wineland on June 15th in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

The report was made earlier today stating that the ultra-talented Brazilian has suffered a foot injury in training and will be unable to compete. At this moment it is not clear whether Wineland will remain on the card or if he will be replaced for the main slot of the event.

Barao was last seen in action on the UFC on FUEL TV 7 card in London, England, defeating Michael McDonald via submission in the fourth round. Prior to that he had defeated the likes of Scott Jorgensen and Urijah Faber since coming to the UFC.
