Randy Couture States He Was Waiting For The UFC To Give Him A Significant Role, They Never Did So He Moved To Bellator

UFC “Hall of Famer” and former five-time two-division champion, Randy Couture gave his thoughts today on his recent falling out with those at Zuffa headquarters including Dana White, stating that he was waiting for them to offer him a significant role but it never came, which prompted his move to Bellator.

Couture, speaking via MMAFighting.com said:

“I felt I wasn’t being really offered any significant role moving forward that was going to further my career and the legacy that I felt like I established in the sport. I was trying to give the UFC every opportunity to find a way to keep me with the company, and use me in some significant fashion, but they just really didn’t seem that interested.”

“Unfortunately, like so many things in this sport, the offer being put on the table leaked somehow and [White] obviously went crazy. It was a done deal at that point.”
