Pancrase 252: Kawamura TKO’s Takahashi, Kitaoka & Kanehara Advance To World Slam Tournament

Pancrase held its 252nd event earlier today at the sold out Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium, Kanagawa, Japan. The show had numerous highlights including a retirement match up for Yoshiki Takahashi, the start of the Pancrase World Slam tournament, a women’s MMA match up between Rin Nakai and Tara Larosa and 2 King of Pancrase title matches.

In the main event, fan favorite Ryo Kawamura defeated the retiring veteran Yoshiki Takahashi via TKO early in the first round. Takahashi tried to get a guillotine choke on Kawamura but couldn’t fully lock it. Kawamura managed to escape and finish off the veteran with a flurry of punches in the first round.
