Jon Jones vs. Glover Teixeira Out Of UFC 170 & Will Likely Go Down In March

UFC President, Dana White revealed tonight that light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones will not be defending his title at UFC 170 against Glover Teixeira since he obtained a minor injury in training, the next hesitant date for the fight will be sometime in March.

White, who said he just found out news of Jones’ unavailability, added that the fight with the Brazilian top contender will likely take place in March.

Jones recently defended his title when he defeated Alexander Gustafsson in a close unanimous decision win at UFC 165, a fight that swung one way and then the other. Teixeira has won all four fight’s he’s had since debuting inside the octagon, defeating Kyle Kingsbury, Fabio Maldonado, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and now Ryan Bader.
