Geronimo dos Santos Reveals Hepatitis B Cleared Up, Looking Forward to UFC Debut

Brazilian heavyweight monster, Geronimo dos Santos has revealed that his hepatitis B has cleared up after undergoing a successful form of treatment, something that will speed up his octagon debut before the year is out. Dos Santos is a veteran with a 34-14 record and is currently riding an impressive twelve fight winning streak. He was set to debut with the UFC last year before his illness was detected.

Geronimo, speaking via Sherdog, said:

“I cannot wait to make a second test to confirm it and finally have this opportunity. I´m so anxious to fight against the best in UFC.”

“Mondragon’s” manager, Alex Davis, confirmed the news to Sherdog, saying:

“The preliminary tests indicated that he is free of hepatitis B. Mondragon underwent a very aggressive treatment. We’ll have to do more tests to confirm the diagnosis and provide the [results] to the athletic commission here in Brazil. Once we confirm that he is cured, he will be released to [fight].”
