Eddie Wineland “Crushed” By Renan Barao Pulling Out of UFC 161

Bantamweight contender, Eddie Wineland was apparently crushed upon hearing the news that Renan Barao is injured and no longer able to compete against him in the UFC 161 main event set for June 15th in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, as well as revealing how he’d like to wait for the Brazilian to recover rather than take a different fight if possible.

Ariel Helwani reported on Tuesday’s edition of “UFC Tonight” stating:

“He said it’s crushing to him. He said it’s like dangling a piece of cake in front of a fat kid for months, and then not letting him eat it. He wants to wait for Barao if it doesn’t take too long for him to recover from the injury.”
