Dana White Says “Jon Jones Could Be Out For Six Weeks Or Six Months”

UFC President, Dana White had no firm date to offer when he was asked when we can expect to see light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones come back in to action inside the octagon as he continues rehab for the dislocated toe he suffered in his last bout, adding ligament damage means the man dubbed “Bones” could be out six weeks or up to six months.

Dana, speaking at the UFC 160 pre-fight press conference said:

“He says he feels great, the toe’s healing good, but the problem is that ligament. That ligament popped. Anytime you tear a ligament, blood flow helps repair the thing and heal, and you don’t get a lot of blood flow to the toe. Who knows? This thing could be six weeks, it could be six months. It’s a pain in the ass, man. Always some little, crazy thing.”

Jones took on and defeated Mauricio “Shogun” Rua for the title at UFC 128 in March, 2011. Since then he has fought Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Lyoto Machida, Rashad Evans, Vitor Belfort and most recently, Chael Sonnen.
