Chael Sonnen Is Moving Back To Middle Weight Division After Latest Loss

Former UFC middleweight and light heavyweight title contender, Chael Sonnen revealed this week that he is moving back to the 185 pound division after his latest loss inside the octagon, explaining the positions which have led to recent defeats would be easier to avoid at the lower weight.

Sonnen, speaking during the recent FOX post-fight show, said:

“I had one problem tonight and that is I fought someone who’s a better fighter than I am. I thought there was spots I could beat him. I come up short in my last three fights in that exact same position. I gotta work on that. I’ve always struggled at 205 to get used to the weight. I can do better than that, but I’m going to have to go back to 185. That’s where I can do my best work; I can scramble and not get held in these positions.”
